[Mobilize 2010] Evri, the real-time content discovery engine is launching five new vertical content aggregation applications on iPhone and Android. Powered by Evri’s semantic technology, the “EvriThing” applications offers real-time news on users favorite topics, and allows them to view and share videos, photos, articles, tweets, scores . Another content filtering and aggregation mobile application is My6Sense, with its semantic engine, it learns the behavior and tastes of the user to deliver the most relevant content. I am not sure if Evri works the same way, I will probably ask Adrian Klein, Evri VP, Product, at Mobilize 2010, where he speaks at 12.15 pm PT. Hopefully, I will see a demo as well.

Jawbone and Cisco have announced the Jawbone ICON for Cisco, which is the result of collaboration between these two companies. This new Bluetooth headphone can be connected to Cisco Unified IP phones and normal mobile phones simultaneously, allowing users to receive calls from their desk phone and from their mobile phone at the same time on the same headset. Features of the headset can also be enhanced via new software applications and functional updates via the Jawbone MyTALK platform. Pricing wasn’t mentioned, but international shipments will begin in October 2010.

Yesterday we saw a picture of Chromium OS running on Apple’s iPad, and now it gets even juicier with the release of a video showcasing the operating system running on said hardware. The bad news is that the performance seems to leave much room for improvement, but considering this hack is probably in the early stages of development, you should expect it to have a few hiccups here and there. Of course, the more important question would be whether Apple will frown upon this and whether it will be feasible for most hobbyists to install Chromium on the iPad. Video after the jump.

Just how fast can your lawn mower go? We would presume the answer would be somewhere along the lines of “as fast as I can push it, of course”. Well, that’s not the case with Bobby Cleveland’s lawn mower since his DIY project has resulted in a beast that can zip by at 96MPH - sounds pretty dangerous, eh, considering the fact that you could accidentally turn the blades on while you move about on it, cutting off heads of unseen moles in the process without realizing it. Of course, with such a top speed, going over rocks by accident could prove rather painful should you actually lose your balance.

Pictures of the upcoming HTC Spark are just fresh out of the oven and the device has already paid a visit to the FCC. The device is listed as the PD26110 and not explicitly referred to as the Spark, but speculation is going around that the two devices are one and the same. Specifications of this device include support for GSM850/1900, WCDMA bands II and V, hinting that it might be arriving on AT&T in the US. We also know that it will be powered by Windows Phone 7, and we’re itching for the influx of Windows Phone 7-powered devices to arrive.

Since Android is an open platform, it makes perfect sense to have a plethora of browsers available on it. This has resulted in the Android Market carrying a fair number of Web browsers, where each of them has their own strengths as well as individual set of weaknesses. One question that should be on the mind of most people - just how fast is the browser that I’m currently using? Among the more popular Android Web browsers pitted against one another would be Skyfire, Opera Mini, Dolphin HD, Fennec Alpha, Android 2.2 Stock and Android 2.1 Stock. Skyfire 2.0 seemed to be the fastest under test conditions as you can see above, while Android 2.2’s stock browser ain’t too shabby either, presumably thanks to its Just In Time compiling feature. We say install all the Web browsers available so that you will always have different options available when surfing.

The Sirius XM Snap! accessory that was sighted at the FCC recently has gone official, offering you a simple in-car satellite radio receiver that can be easily installed by just plugging it into your vehicle’s power port. The good news is that you won’t need to twiddle with your existing radio setup much and the device includes a stem that supports the control panel, allowing you to easily change channels and control the device. It’s bundled together with a magnetic mount antenna that can be attached to a roof, hood, or trunk, though it’s wired. An auxiliary input cable is also included as part of the package to allow it to hook up to the vehicle’s aux-in port. The XM Snap! will be available at retail nationwide and online from October 2010 for $59.99.

Paris Motor Show 2010 is the platform where Mini rolled out its spanking new electric scooters as part of the e-concept range. Targeting young urbanites who want to get around a busy city quick and fast without having to service monthly loans for a car, these new electric scooters are up to date with the latest trends of these yuppies, boasting some space on the handlebars in order to accommodate a smartphone, including the iPhone. Good thing it doesn’t come in a boring shade of black only, as you can choose from yellow/grey and British racing green shades. A lithium ion battery will power the electric motor that is located in the rear wheel. This ought to add more members to the green movement, making it a cheap way to get across town especially when you’re a student on a tight budget.
