The YouTube application gives you access to most YouTube videos, allowing you to view by most popular, featured videos, bookmarked videos, or search for others. The new iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store lets you wirelessly browse, preview and buy songs and albums. The other applications are familiar programs.

People who like the iPhone functions, but who do not want the two-year contract with AT&T Wireless, really love the iPod touch.

We don’t want your traffic, but we want your money

GoogleYou probably remember the scandal last year with the Belgian French-language newspapers that requested Google to remove their content from Google.be and Google News. They didn’t want money at the time and a court agreed that Google has to remove any headlines and links to their stories. Ironically, now they do.

For any sane webmaster, being featured on Google means power and obviously lots of traffic which gets monetized somehow, so in the end it means more money. But Copiepresse decided to get cash by suing Google for causing them damages from $51.7 million up to $77.5 million.

Could it be that Copiepresse finds it difficult to sell ads in their printed versions and their site(s) are not getting enough traffic to sell online ads? Will Copiepresse go bankrupt unless they don’t win this lawsuit where they want money? I’m dead serious about it and will keep a close eye on the subject to see the outcome.

The site which uses Ushahidi infrastructure (it’s their engine) and hosting, was put online by Quirk eMarketing, a web marketing agency in Cape Town who designed, manages and maintains it, Rafiq, Tim Shier and David Kobia.

Main reason behind UntedForAfrica is to get the word out and that’s what we’re trying to do here. If you want to know how you can help, call, email or SMS all your friends and get them to spread the word, too. You will not change the world, but will be a small step further for a good cause.

FCC Approves Nokia E66

FCC Approves Nokia E66

The FCC has finally given the nod to the Nokia E66, a device that is widely tipped to succeed the Nokia E65. There will be two variants available though, where one of them will rely on Europe’s 2100MHz 3G band while the other will support 850/1900MHz bands for domestic networks. There is no further information on the E66 itself, but rumors have it that it will be equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera and 128MB of internal memory. If the Nokia E65 is anything to go by, then the E66 ought to continue in the slider lineage, bringing Wi-Fi connectivity and a microSD memory card slot with it along as well. No idea on when this will be commercially released though.
